Diane Clukey-Chenard, LCSW

Diane Clukey-Chenard

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

For more than 20 years I’ve helped teens and adults navigate anxiety, depression, and trauma in healthy and productive ways. I bring an understanding of behavior, relationships, and adversity and how they can play out in negative ways in everyday life. I love working with people to help them find a way to improve communication and strengthen their bonds. I bring over 25 years of working with the LGBTQI+ community helping folks celebrate who they are while at the same time acknowledging the stress and unique family factors this amazing community deals with on a daily basis.
In addition to being a LCSW, I am an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) certified therapist. EMDR is a therapeutic approach that helps people heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. These experiences could be anything from traumatic events, distressing memories, or even difficult childhood experiences that continue to affect you today. I am also a registered yoga/meditation teacher who believes in holistic care, focusing on body, mind, and soul balance. I honor each person as an individual and have never subscribed to a one style fits all approach. I utilize a solution focused, strength driven, and evidence based approaches to help folks identify and process feelings while uncovering positive coping techniques. I offer walk/talk therapy for people interested in light movement while processing. Teletherapy is also available to support your health or scheduling needs.
