Registered Clinical Social Work Intern
I specialize in providing therapy for children and families in clinical and school-based settings. In the 13 years I have served children and families, I have worked with those from diverse populations, including those with anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD-related challenges, or those with a history of trauma including abuse. I’ve also worked extensively with children with intellectual/developmental disabilities, cognitive delays, behavior concerns, IEPs or 504 plans.
I work collaboratively with family members and other professionals, including primary care and other mental health practitioners, teachers, and school support staff. I utilize a collaborative, strengths-based approach, assisting and supporting clients to be the author of their own lives in a safe, non judgmental, healing place. I often approach the family as a whole and utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy, approaches to regulate feelings and sensory needs, family therapy, parenting skills/coaching, and mindfulness-based interventions.
My goal is to help children reach their highest potential and to help families live more harmonious lives together by connecting with their strengths and utilizing their social support system, community resources, and newly learned skills. I am a licensed social worker in the state of Ohio and currently obtaining hours towards licensure in the state of Florida under the supervision of Dr. Angela Steranko.
