Meet Hope – Our Certified Therapy Dog
We are excited to introduce a very special new team member – Hope, our certified therapy dog. Hope is a 4-year-old Havanese mix. She is hypoallergenic and does not shed. She loves coming to the office, meeting new clients, and getting belly rubs.
Hope is a gentle, affectionate, and highly trained canine companion who brings warmth, calm, and emotional support to our clients. As a certified therapy dog, she enhances the therapeutic environment and makes your visits with us more comfortable.
🐶 Why a Therapy Dog?
Therapy dogs like Hope are trained to provide emotional comfort, reduce stress, and support mental well-being in clinical settings. Their presence has been shown to:
- Lower anxiety and promote relaxation
- Improve mood and emotional regulation
- Encourage communication and connection
- Provide grounding during sessions involving trauma or grief
- Support children, teens, and adults in navigating difficult emotions
Hope will be present at Fundamental Psychology and may be available during your appointments. Clients may also see her in the common areas and waiting room.
